Skate Shop Reviews

Launch Board Shop:
Launch is a real cool shop.  The owner is really nice.  He can help you find what you are looking for and he can give you some really good deals.  They have a lot of decks, and trucks.  The shop also sells a large variety of skate videos.  Overall launch is a pretty good board shop. I give Launch a 8 out of 10.

Red Belly Board Shop:
(Click above to visit website) Red Belly is my favorite skate shop that I have been to.  They have tons of cool stuff.  However they do not have as many decks as Launch.  Red Belly makes awesome decks with a sweet graphic.  Red Belly sells lots of shoes and clothing that is great for skaters.  Overall I give Red Belly a 9 out of 10.

Special Edition Skate Shop:
Special Edition Skate Shop (SESS) is a store located in Brighton, MI. It's a smaller store in the basement of a small building.  They have all kinds of good stickers there of every size.  SESS has lots of cool clothing there and some shoes you can buy there too.  They sell skateboard decks, completes, trucks, wheels, and bearings with a limited selection of each. I give this skateshop a 8 out of 10.

Modern Skate and Surf:
This Skate shop is located in Novi, MI.  Modern Skate and Surf is right around the corner of Vans skatepark, which also has a skateshop we've rated.  Modern Skate and Surf is also a small building which sells all kinds of extreme equipment such as rollerblades, skateboards, snowboards, etc. they have a wide variety of clothes although they dont have lots of skate equiptment.  This is an ok skateshop that you might want to check out. Its mixed in with other extreme sport equipment and its not as much a skateshop so I give it a 6 out of 10.

Vans Skate Shop:
Vans is a Skatepark that has a skate shop within it located in Novi, MI.  It is right near Modern Skate and Surf but if your looking to buy good skate equipment i suggest that you come to Vans.  Its a skatepark that costs $10.00 to get into without a membership which they sell for a cheap price. Elbow pads knee pads and helmets are required. You can purchase that off of them if you dont have some of your own.  They have a couple X-boxs that you can play for fun before your session starts.  The skateshop itself is pretty good.  They have more boards then regular skate shops do. They also sell trucks wheels bearings and clothes. I give it a 9 out of 10.
