Noseslide
Noseslides aren't that hard to land, and they are easier to start on boxes then rails. Some people find them easier frontside, some people find them easier backside.
Frontside
To do a frontside noseslide you want to come along side the object, around a foot away. Get some speed and ollie up like you would for a backside 180, but only spin around 90 degrees. Get your nose on the obstacle by putting pressure on your front foot and barely any on your back. Start sliding, and as your near the end of the obstacle, finish your spin, land, and roll away.
Backside
Backside noseslides are just about the opposite of frontside. You want to get some speed along side the obstacle and ollie up like you would for a frontside 180, and still only spin about 90 degrees. Get the nose on with pressure to the front foot. Slide until you near the end of the obstacle, then complete the spin, land, then roll away.
